Cabin

On July 11th, 2016, I moved in to my grandparent's cabin on the outskirts of La Pine, Oregon. Throughout my childhood, I visited this place for holidays and other Central Oregon excursions, but for ten weeks, it became home as I worked a photography internship. I was inspired by photographer Jim Brandenburg's project "93 Spring Days", in which he took a photograph of his home state Minnesota each day of the season. In that vein, I challenged myself to do the same, but in the much smaller range surrounding my humble abode. I let my eye do the work, searching for beauty in the mundane and the grandiose, paying attention to color and shapes, while also simply documenting my life. It has been a lesson in design and living alone, and while I don't quite have 70 photos due to many days of travel, here is my collection of images.
